Fluid therapy is one of the most common and essential therapies provided in small animal medicine. Patients are receiving fluids for many reasons, knowing why fluids are used, how fluids are chosen, how to implement fluid therapy and the goals and limitations of fluid therapy is a key competency for senior vet nurses.
