Pet Emergencies and What to Do
Some situations call for an immediate response, such as when your dog or cat is bleeding heavily. Naturally, you'll phone the emergency veterinarian in those circumstances. What about other issues, though? Are those the kinds of situations that call for a hasty trip to the hospital, like a slip and fall that leaves with a slight limp or the sudden appearance of a rash?
Most emergencies will necessitate veterinary care, but occasionally you'll need to know how to stabilise your pet before you get to the vet. It is crucial to remember that any first aid your pet receives at home must always be quickly followed by veterinary care. In the interim, it might just save your pet's life until veterinary care can be provided.
